If life had gone according to plan,
I would not have half of the blessings that I have right now.
If life had gone according to plan, NAYA simply would not exist.
One year ago I had the best job I’d ever had, working for the world’s best boss, with a team of people I loved dearly – how could I ever leave this job? Why would I? Simply put…if I had my way I wouldn’t! Life on the other hand had other plans for our little family. On November 28, 2017, we were given news that would change our lives forever. We were going to be unemployed at the end of the year! Our worlds came tumbling down – it felt like there was a death in the family.
“What are we going to do? How are we going to live? How do we move forward?”
After a long journey of being unemployed, then being employed and severely unhappy, I decided it was time for me to take control of my life. During that time I learned a lot about myself, my capabilities, and what I wanted out of life. More importantly, I learned what I didn’t want, who I didn’t want to be, and began preparing a plan to build the life I wanted…one step at a time. I was going to live my life by design – my design!
This is where NAYA began.
As I’ve mentioned already, this wasn’t a part of my plan, but this is where life has led me, and I couldn’t be happier now. Thank you to each and every person that has supported NAYA thus far – family, friends, clients... A special thank you to Team NAYA! You are my rock, and this wouldn’t be possible without you. It has been a long road, but looking back, I wouldn’t change a thing. Each detour and bump in the road led me here, and I am forever grateful. Through it all, the most important lesson that I’ve learned is that I don’t have to understand God’s plan for me, I just have to trust and follow – He’s never yet let me down!
